In online marketing no one has any time. The average webmaster struggles to find the hours in the day necessary to run an online business, optimize it for search, socialize its content and create fresh content to use in marketing it.
Ever since the 2007 Florida update Google has been on a trajectory which is bringing together three separate strands of search: Personalization, Localisation and Socialisation. I was on a podcast back in November of 2011 upon this very subject and given the development of Google Search Plus Your World (SPYW), Google+ Local and G+ I can now retire from my career as a seer, at the top of my game.
For the past two years Google has been reporting on the incidence of copyright infringement and the action they have taken to address the issue in the search results. This is important not least because Google also receives a lot of government-originated requests from around the globe and does not automatically comply with everything.
In an economic Tweet (pictured below) Google’s Head of Anti-Spam, Matt Cutts, announced that the Penguin update which rolled out globally on April 24th had now its first iteration.
