Content for your website during the Christmas trade period

This is an obvious post perhaps but Christmas is the time when the web really goes crazy as everyone who has a website focuses on marketing it to search engines then. The result is that a crowded web becomes even more crowded with the Christmas bottleneck being experienced online as well as offline.
If you really want to get your site noticed at Christmas you need to meet at least three of the four requirements:
  • 1. Unbeatable seasonal offers
  • 2. Totally unique content
  • 3. Compelling reasons to visit it now
  • 4. A seasonal competition with clear benefits for the participants
Anything else will be simply ‘chatter’ which will give you results disproportionately poor for the amount of energy and time they will demand from you.
