In its continued progress to web domination Google, ever wary of the fact that it actually takes very little to unseat a reigning champion, continues to evolve. Just two months ago we saw Google Instant being rolled out worldwide and Google now are bringing out Google Instant Previews – type a search term, click on the magnifying lens at the end of every listing and presto! You have an instant preview of the website listed there.
This is great news if you have visited a website before and do not remember the name of it but do remember its look, it is useful if you are looking for images (of the latest Android Tablet PC, for instance) and do not want to get bogged down reading reams and reams of text, it is great when it comes to enhancing the end user experience in search.
As a feat this is nothing less than a 21st century miracle. The entire rationale behind the development of Google Instant was that it shaved off half a second or so when it came to using search and those half seconds, eventually, do add up to minutes and the hours. The principle behind Google Instant Preview is exactly the same. It is intended to help save time. So, why is it miraculous? Because text and images and layouts, all captured in a preview and served in less time than it takes to blink, take time to actually index and then present, the very fact that Google has cracked it puts it on a different footing entirely.
Rolled out in over 40 languages Google Instant Preview is now live and it will again change the face of SEO and make a website’s design and layout (always crucial when it comes to conversions) a crucial aspect of its overall SEO.
