Turn your Facebook profile pic into a video

When it comes to social marketing, the latest things to add to a profile become hot because they allow you to stand out from the crowd and gain more exposure. This is where the very latest Facebook app built by Cisco and DDB Singapore as a way to promote their flip video cameras, comes in.
The app allows you to replace your static (boring?) Facebook profile image with video! Yep, moving pictures and sound to allow you to say something to those who come to your profile. The catch? – Two really. First, obviously, the vid is only visible by all those who have also installed the application, which is a clever (perhaps?) way of increasing usage and the second, you get an ad appearing on your wall which extorts all those who visit your profile to also get the app (which is annoying).
Why would you do this?
Well, it has some novelty value but it is unlikely it will help you market yourself any better. There are some technicalities involved in getting it all together so seamless it ain’t. If you are online for fun I say go for it. If you are online for business save the time you’d spend here by focusing on your online marketing.
