Motivation is a funny thing. It tends to work in ways few of us really, totally understand, and yet in business motivation is key. It is what can make the difference between being a winner and being and almost-run.
Motivation is crucial to helping you start the day and getting where you want and losing sight of it can actually get you into hot water even when things are going great for you as even I found out not too long ago.
The trick is not to focus just on the immediate score, the current deadline, getting the job done, finishing that book or getting that pay cheque. There has to be a great deal more depth than that to carry you through the troughs you will eventually encounter and get you to the peaks you want to reach.
